This is a blog maintained by a group of middle schoolers who care about the Diamondback Terrapin and are located in Stamford, CT. We work closely with Sound Waters to do what we can to make a difference and secure a safe future for this important organism.

Hello!
We are a 4th grade class in Trappe, Maryland. We have been raising 2 diamondback terrapins in our classroom all year. Their names are Bubbles and Jaws. This is part of an experiment through the Maryland Environmental Service to see if giving baby terrapins a headstart in the classroom improves their survival rates. We will release them into the Chesapeake Bay in May. We are currently creating Power Points to teach other kids about the terrapins. We were excited to find your blog. Please write back to tell us more about your work with the terrapins.
